Fall 2001, Fall 2004 - Fall 2008 [Player Card]
The Fall 2004 season marks John's triumphant return to the squad.
Having traveled the world in search of true darts knowledge, John is back to
put his newfound skills to the test. He is currently dazzling the NYDO
with his mysterious "Mansoor" technique, which was deciphered from
hieroglyphs deep within the Great Pyramid of Khufu.

Spring 2001- Fall 2008, Co-Captain [Player Card]
As the United States Army prepared for the first test firing of the awesome
Gamma-Bomb, Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, the man whose genius created the weapon,
peered through a pair of binoculars and noticed a teenager in a jeep out on
the testing ground. Banner saved the teenager and threw him behind cover but
was himself caught on the cusp of the explosion. However, he survived and at
first seemed none the worse for his experience. When night fell, however, his
body underwent "a startling metamorphosis" into a massive green
figure. Now, the "madder
he gets, the stronger he gets" and thus is for all practical purposes
has no limit to the strength he can reach.

Spring 2001 - Spring 2007, Fall 2008 [Player Card]
A formidable and multi-talented presence in the sport of
darts, Fred can not only touch the dart board from the throw
line, but he can also dance the tango between throws with his acclaimed
partner Mindy.

Spring 2001, Fall 2003, Fall 2006 - Fall 2008 [Player Card]
Team Founder
The matriarch of the squad, Darian formed the team in 2001,
after having successfully played in the league a few years before. While
an ace thrower known for coming up with the huge throw when it was needed,
Darian's real contribution to the sport has been in the area of
luminescence. The first to carry her own light, extension cord and
3-prong converter, Darian worked tirelessly to thrust the game into the
spotlight. After a brief sabbatical in which she designed the team
mascot, Darian returned to the squad to once again bring her blinding
skills to the league. She is now back to creating members for the Farm
Team.

Fall 2001 - Spring 2004, Fall 2006 - Fall 2008 [Player Card]
Team Founder
Looking to follow in the footsteps of his hero, Sidney
Franklin (aka Sidney Frumpkin), the greatest of Jewish bullfighters, Dave
enrolled at Brandeis University to study the art of the matador.
However, finding that the Judges had no bullfighting team, he shifted his
focus to darts, where he teamed up with Jeremy. Dave, a musician, is a seasoned veteran on this young
team, and a co-founder of the team (along with Darian.)
|

Fall 2001 - Spring 2004, Spring 2006 - Fall 2008 [Player Card]
Founder and leading practitioner of the
"Dartkata" discipline, Mindy manages to combine her dart matches
with a strenuous cardio-aerobic exercise and self-defense training
session. In addition, Mindy will also occasionally stretch-out between
games by doing the Lambada or "Forbidden Dance" with Fred.
Mindy led the squad in All-Star points in the Spring
2001 season, and led the team in win percentage in Spring
2002.

Fall 2003 - Fall 2008 [Player Card]
Andrew brings both a gun and some needed
"authoritah" to the team. Andrew lays down the law with the competition and delivers swift justice to all
who stand in our way. With any luck, he will not need to break out the
handcuffs and nightstick, or perform any full cavity searches during the
season.

Spring 2001 - Spring 2002 [Player Card]
A veteran on the darts circuit, Jeremy is known for his
quirky throwing style and down-home attire. Jeremy's mastery of the
"beer proficiency curve" has led to significant advances in the
field of alcoholic sportsmanship. Always endeavoring to further explain
the ups and downs of the game of darts, Jeremy is a significant contributor to
the darts
excuse board.
|

Spring 2001 - Fall 2001 [Player Card]
A two-year veteran of the squad, Tom recently retired after
spending much of the Fall 2001 season on the DL. After studying in
England, it is hoped that he will return to the team with a panoply of
newfound skills.
|

Spring 2002 - Fall 2003 [Player Card]
A mainstay of the squad, Jen was one of the leading 501 players on the team,
with an uncanny knack for hitting 19's and doubling-out. Jen also served
as the social director of the squad, hosting weekly pot-luck dinners, leading
sing-a-longs, organizing the annual cribbage tournament,
and overseeing shuffleboard on the lido deck. She is currently in
training for the triathlon: a grueling competition of darts, drinking and
karaoke singing.

Spring 2005 - Spring 2006 [Player Card]

Fall 2004 [Player Card]
In his first season with the Squad, Roni has quickly made a name for
himself with his enthusiasm. Enthusiams... enthusiams... enthusiams. When he
stands at the oche, he stands alone. But at the bar? Part of a
team. Roni hopes to vault himself to the top of the NYDO leaderboard,
and continue to score throughout the season.
|
Spring 2004 - Fall 2004 [Player Card]
A true grappler, Aaron is looking to transfer his success in the
squared-circle to the darts circles. Used to competing in the 165-lb
weight class, Aaron has been bulking up so he can compete with the
heavyweights. He hopes to have as much impact on the squad as A-Rod will
have on the Yankees.
|

Spring 2004 [Player Card]
With a classic swing and long-ball power, Adam will bat clean-up for the
squad. His tremendous potential has most experts predicting he will be
the straw that stirs the many drinks we imbibe each week. Adam will also serve as official
spokesman and media relations director for the squad.
|

Spring 2001 - Spring 2003 [Player Card]
Once a player known for being on the schneid, Nikki has
emphatically announced that she is now off the schneid. A true British
athlete, Nikki excels in her homeland's premiere sports of soccer and darts,
and her use of the word "treble" serves to confuse the
competition. After her tour of duty in Nam, Nikki re-upped with the
Foreign Legion and has been sent to another
war zone, to restore peace to the world. The squad awaits her
triumphant return.
|

Fall 2002 - Fall 2003 [Player Card]
Eric brought a wealth of
experience to the squad, having spent considerable time in bars. A player with
an old-school attitude, Eric vowed to play wherever needed, regardless of
injury, and without concern for the status of his pants. The only award
winner on the team, Eric sports an R9 patch to cover the rip in his pants.
|

Spring 2002 - Spring 2003 [Player Card]
This cheerleader turned chucker made her mark in Week 12 of the S2002 season, in which
she posted 327 AS points and 3 wins. In addition to her darts prowess, she and Holly
continue to perfect a series of highly effective distraction tactics that have
led to countless team wins. Ain't it the life? Meredith made a
break out of the city and now has a new way home. The squad will wait for her
everlong.
|

Spring 2004 - Spring 2006 [Player Card]
Having spent a number of years on the junior circuit, Rebecca has
officially given up her amateur status and finally turned pro. The
crafty right-hander from upstate New York has a unique style and a reputation
for hitting the clutch shot.
|

Spring 2001 - Fall 2003, Co-Captain [Player Card]
Holly's impressive resume includes a stint with the Nakatomi Corporation as
well as role as an AOL executive. Known for her resiliency in
over-coming the unfortunate death of
her boss, the complete destruction of her building, and a harrowing experience
at a Washington DC airport, Holly has returned to New York with a
vengeance. Because her husband and daughter were recently caught in a
terrorist plot while on a Caribbean holiday, Holly is limited to part-time
duty this season.

Fall 2004 - Fall 2006 [Player Card]
Nachos Rule! Yeah.
Heh heh. It's like, I like eating them and stuff. No, buttmunch, Nachos
is like, the guy's name and stuff. Oh yeah. Heh heh. He must know
Phil McCraken. Huh huh. And Dick Hertz. Heh heh. This is
cool.
|

Team Owner, Spring 2004 - Fall 2004, Spring 2007 [Player Card]
The longtime "man behind the scenes" responsible for the squad,
this season Glenn is making the unusual move from the front-office to the
front-lines. Glenn's powerful status in the tavern industry, as well as
his prolific rugby skills, will provide much needed protection for the squad
as we venture into enemy territory.

Farm Team
Spring 2023 (Projected)
Antalya Paris Levin, born to Dave
and Darian at 1:28AM on March 16, 2002 and weighing in at 7
lbs. 6 oz, has already been signed to a minor league contract and is currently
playing for the FOS farm team in Tupelo, MS. A natural right-hander with
an eye for the bull, it has been said that AP was "born to
throw". Look for this youngster to light up the league, as soon as
she is old enough to drink (currently slated to begin shortly after she starts
eating).
|

Spring 2025 (Projected)
Arden York Levin, got a head start on his dart practice when he was born
to Dave
and Darian at 2:40AM on April 30, 2004. Weighing in at 8
lbs. 15 oz, Arden is already ahead of the game. Would ya look at the size of
that kid's head! It's the size of a planetoid and it has it's own weather
system! Looks like an orange on a toothpick! I'm not kidding, that boy's
head is like Sputnik; spherical but quite pointy at parts! Aye, now that was
offsides, now wasn't it? He'll be crying himself to sleep tonight, on his huge
pillow.
|

Fall 2025 (Projected)
Abby Oakes was born to former Ship Captain Holly and
her husband Michael. Having already memorized all of the most popular
dart terms, Abby has also indicated a clear preference for a nice cold Stella
over the more traditional milk. Before signing on with The Ship, Abby is
expected to attend Seton Hall in 2022, and has already been slotted in as the
starting point guard for the Pirates.
